This post will explore the concept and ideas around awareness.

Awareness is such an important quality to have and to practice in every aspect of our lives.

There are different types of awareness that apply to important areas of ourselves, namely, emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual, in other words, our self-awareness.

Beyond ourselves, we have our situational or “environmental” awareness. This includes everything happening around us, the people, places, events, and so on.

How aware are we of ourselves, our environment, and how we are within our environment?

That seems like a lot to be aware of the whole time, but with practice, we can learn awareness of the important aspects of ourselves and the world around us.

Awareness also means learning not to pay attention to trivial topics or circumstances.

We are in control of where we place our awareness.

Practicing awareness and applying it to our daily lives will be one of our greatest assets.

It will help us understand others and different situations, and to think ahead.

Awareness applied will help us with the small details of what is in front of us, the microcosm of things. This includes anything from writing an email to brushing our teeth.

Awareness applied to the macrocosm will give us a bigger picture and integrated perspective.

So, where in your life can you apply more awareness?

Do you consider yourself an aware person?
