Have you ever had someone ask you how you are and you responded something like, “I am in-between places right now”?

That in-between place, are you familiar with it? Sometimes it’s also called limbo.

It can feel so uncomfortable, confusing, and frustrating. There’s so much uncertainty.

It’s a place where you’re not quite where you want to be and you are somewhere where you feel like you are just sort of waiting for the next “phase” or “chapter” of your life like you’ve outgrown your current surroundings.

Can you relate to this, have you outgrown your current circumstances or relationships? Are you a bit “over it” as they say?

Now you’re just twiddling your thumbs, waiting for more, for better, for the next chapter.

The in-between space requires a balance of faith and trust and the courage to take the necessary action steps that are in your control to take.

The in-between space can often feel like a negative thing, and it’s up to us to make the most of it.

In the in-between space, we cannot be victims or give in to passivity, thinking that we are at the mercy of life or our circumstances, without the inner power and agency to effect change in our own lives.

The in-between space can be a restful and introspective space.

During our time in the in-between space, we can celebrate how far we’ve come, what we’ve learned from our circumstances, and what we are ready to move towards.

Don’t shun the in-between space. It’s here for a reason.

Sometimes we can feel so tired of our current spaces and places that we just want to leave already, but it will help us to shift our focus from not running away from the old or outdated, but moving towards the new.

Ask yourself if you are in-between spaces right now: How can I utilize this season of my life to my advantage? What lessons can I integrate before I move on to a new chapter? What can I celebrate from my life thus far? What am I ready to let go of and leave in love?
