I wanted to explore this topic a bit, I think we all do this: give away our power to others.
We forget to focus on our being, and it is so easy to be focused on how others are being.
When we place our focus on how others are being, what they say and do, what they like and enjoy, we give our power to them.
How do we get to a point where we want to start placing more focus on how we are being and showing up in the world?
We start looking inward, at how we are being.
We explore ourselves, what do we like and enjoy?
What do we say and do?
What is important to us?
What do we want?
We start this exploration by asking ourselves questions.
But, it goes deeper than that too, we take back our power when we choose to believe in ourselves more instead of others.
We take back our power when we are willing to accept ourselves, even the parts we are not fond of.
So, think about it for a moment, in what way can you take back just a little bit more of your power that you may have freely given to others?
This is how you welcome yourself to yourself – by choosing yourself instead of others.
This does not mean we ice others out or create walls around us, it just means that we matter to ourselves too.
