Do you complain?
I bet you do, I do. We all do.
What is it about complaining that makes us feel so good?
When we complain to others about something or someone, it’s almost like we are letting out our frustrations, and we need to vent and let it all out, that’s important too.
We need to be heard and understood, it’s a basic human need, and complaining about something helps us fill this need.
Can you relate?
There is complaining to vent and let out our frustrations, and then there is complaining that goes to the next level, but a level down, beyond just venting.
By this I mean, complaining gets addictive, sooner or later we have a problem with EVERYTHING and EVERYONE.
Somehow, we become addicted to constantly finding problems and needing to voice them to others.
It becomes more fun when others join us in our complaints too!
Do you ever do this? Are you able to admit it to yourself?
Here are some questions to ask yourself: what is one way that I can complain in a healthier way? How can I fulfill that need in me to be heard in a healthier way? How can I let go of my frustrations without harming others with my words? What am I complaining about at the moment, and why is it triggering me so much?
