This is my first Double Dose Message post. I wanted to share this with you all because it’s helped me learn more about myself, and it might help you in some way too (it’s been really fun to receive these messages). So, why Double Dose? I often take notice of ideas or information that stand out to me, whether it is in something I read or listen to. Sometimes I would come across the same message/information twice or three times in a day or a week, and that is when I pay attention and use it to my advantage.

So, here is the first one:

I’ve felt a bit frustrated more than usual lately, and wondered why isn’t anything happening. It feels like things are at a stand still and stagnant in some ways. What is going on?! It’s not a comfortable feeling to have, have you ever felt like this? I’m learning that life mirrors to me how I show up. And I’m learning to ask: how am I showing up? Am I showing up?

I mean I do my thing everyday, I stay committed to what I love to do and I am building on what I aim to do, but still….I feel like nothing is happening. I am showing up…or so I think.

This leads me to look more on the surface level of how I show up. Not the deeper levels, and it makes a difference. So I ask myself how am I showing up on the visible level that I can see? What am I doing day-to-day, moment-to-moment?

I realised that maybe I am not taking the physical actions I need to in order to feel like something is happening. I came to a stand still, literally. And this is how I showed life what I’m doing…nothing. And by doing nothing…I got nothing. In a general sense of the concept. But I think looking at it at a basic/general level can help get some momentum. Often it helps to start at the easiest place, and that is where I am right now and what I am doing. And by what I am doing includes what I am not doing.

On a collective level: we do come to stand stills in our lives sometimes, and this is not a ‘bad’ thing. We sometimes need it to reassess our lives. However, when we do come to a stand-still, we need to practice awareness of when it is time to move again. And life meets us halfway. So, if we feel that nothing is happening and it feels frustrating, then we need to make a move. This is how we show up. We show up by making a move.It doesn’t have to be big or dramatic, we can start small and work our way up or we can do big and dramatic if we have had enough of playing small, but we just need to do it with intention towards our truest selves.
